C-EB Upper Elementary has officially launched its Wisdom Keepers Literacy Project, a pilot initiative designed to strengthen reading and cultural connection through Lakota values, storytelling, and universal language use within our school.
Our newly formed Wisdom Keepers Committee (WKC) brings together community members, teachers, and staff, to help shape and guide this exciting literacy effort.
During our first meeting, members shared ideas, laughter, and a shared commitment to nurturing young readers who carry the stories of their people with pride. Together, we are shaping a reading culture rooted in Lakota identity, language, and love of learning.
