Natural Helpers in their second meeting

The C-EB 6th Grade Natural Helpers held their second meeting, focusing on planning upcoming activities for their school and community! 🌟

This month, the students will be hanging up Lakota Affirmation coloring pages created by previous Natural Helpers to spread positivity throughout the school. They also planned for setting up the Community Christmas Trees at local businesses, a tradition in its second year that shares student cheer with the broader community. 🎄

During the meeting, students worked together to create their morning announcements, introducing who the Natural Helpers are and why they joined, encouraging others to reach out when they need support. 💛

The evening wrapped up with an anti-bullying activity featuring their classroom bear, affectionately named “Berry.” Students wrote negative labels that hurt Berry, tried covering them with bandages, and discussed how words can leave lasting marks. Together, they reflected on how kindness, compassion, and understanding can help prevent and heal the harm caused by hurtful words. 🐻✨

Stay tuned for more updates on their inspiring activities throughout the month!
